It is during the COP that international agreements and commitments are made in pursuit of suitable solutions to reverse the global climate crisis in a fair, effective, and rapid manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2023, COP reaches its 28th edition and will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30th to December 12th. The event will be attended by world leaders, diplomats, scientists, and activists from civil society groups and social movements worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Casa Fund will be present at COP 28 with a delegation of 17 individuals, composed of team members and leaders from supported groups representing their communities: riverside dwellers, indigenous peoples, forest dwellers, and quilombola communities. These communities practically demonstrate to us that it is possible to coexist with biomes without destroying them, yet, simultaneously, they are among the populations most vulnerable to the impacts of extreme climate events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the main discussions that the Casa Fund delegation will be involved in are debates on climate financing, climate justice based on fundamental rights, gender relations, protection of environmental integrity defenders of territories, protagonism of traditional peoples, policies focused on peripheries and youth,
