The event “Climate Mitigation from the Frontline: Learning from locally-led Solutions” is an initiative of Myriad USA.<\/em><\/p>\n

Maria Am\u00e1lia Souza, the founder and Director of Strategic Development of Casa Socio-Environmental Fund, will participate on Thursday, April 11th at 8:30 AM GMT (05:30 AM Bras\u00edlia time) in the event “<\/span>Climate Mitigation from the Frontline: Learning from locally-led Solutions<\/span><\/a>“, which will take place in Oxford, UK, during the <\/span>Skoll World Forum<\/span><\/a> (streaming online), annual event that brings world leaders together to accelerate innovative solutions for the world’s most pressing problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within this context, the event, organized by Myriad USA (formerly KBFUS), will bring together entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and investors to discuss climate mitigation strategies from the frontline and brainstorm ways to channel more philanthropic capital toward sustainable frontline efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

This session showcases community-driven solutions led by Myriad USA\u2019s local partners, from Casa Fund in Brazil to EcoNusa Foundation in Indonesia to AfroClimate Foundation throughout Africa, working directly with frontline communities affected by our rapidly changing climate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Topics to be discussed include: Supporting indigenous communities and marginalized groups in land management, preservation of biomes, and livelihood protection in Brazil and Indonesia; Elevating visionary entrepreneurs committed to delivering lasting solutions for low-income communities impacted by climate change across Africa; Enhancing cross-regional collaborations and advocacy on locally-led Climate Actions.<\/span><\/p>\n
