May the new cycle come full of health and hope

The end of the year is approaching. It went by really fast, no? In this very strange and historical year, it seems like time flied. It was a very difficult year for the whole world, and we had to reconsider our priorities. For us at the Casa Fund it was not different, we had to adapt and invent creative solutions so that our work could make a real difference during this turbulent period. And indeed, throughout the year, we could confirm how collective and participatory actions can produce gigantic results —this is what motivated us to push ahead.

What inspires us is to know that it is always worth to do something, because we trust the groups that receive Casa Fund’s support: collectives that develop actions based in solidarity, in compassion and in respect for the dignity of all beings; people who dedicate their lives to a just cause, who roll up their sleeves every day certain that it is possible to transform the world into a better place.

We thank our funding partners, our grantees and our team for the great transformation we were able to promote in 2020. We made more than 500 grants in all Brazilian states and in seven other countries of South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru. We donated more than US$3 million! It was record for us, and we are really proud of it.

Nothing like this would be possible without the unconditional support of our network of partners. It was our close collaboration with our networks that enabled us to overcome immense challenges.

And in the middle of it all, Casa Fund changed its looks, but only the looks, because our essence will always remain the same!  We changed our logo, our website and more. It was arduous work, but it served as great exercise to remember our origins, as well as to bring deep reflection about our mission and the importance of our work.

Casa Fund wishes a happy 2021, and that this new cycle be filled with health and hope!

We will continue to stand together, building a more just and sustainable world, embracing challenges and supporting solutions.
